I'm looking for help with a trip idea for 2 days 1 night not too far from NYC. I've been to most of the places that come to mind like Boston , Philly, DC, Baltimore, Amish, Newport, providence, Newport, west point, casinos, new haven, etc.. Does anybody have any other ideas ? I've been looking for a while and can't find anything, thanks for the help.

Can't find anything????????

Where did you look??????

If you are seeking assistance in planning a trip, please include ALL of the following information:
a. Make sure you begin your Title with “REQUEST - …” For example, “REQUEST – Need cheap air/hotel package to Vegas from LAX in Oct”
b. Dates of travel
c. Departure city (and airports)/destination
d. # of people (adults/children) (if children, you may wish to include ages)
e. # of nights
f. Approximate budget for your trip
g. Activities that interest you
h. WHAT YOU HAVE FOUND SO FAR IN YOUR RESEARCH. Please include complete prices (incl all taxes and fees) and where you have located the deal.

Please DO NOT post a new topic until you have done the items listed above

If you don't want to do the basic research you might want to try a travel planner.

Here's a link that might help...... Travel Planner Link

You must not be looking too hard...keep trying and POST WHAT YOU FOUND!

The police are out in extra force for Thanksgiving....some people say a few of us police the forums.

This is a travel deals area...not a trip planning service.

Minyan gave you a great link.

Google, tripadvisor, etc.

wow none of those places were remotely near NYC.. and we don't like being called amish, please call us Lancaster County or Susquehanna Valley. If you're going that far, check out Hershey and stay by penn national horse/casino (grantville). $.02 .. or maybe atlantic city.

Posting requests are fine, but your particular post is frustrating to say the least. You want people to guess at what you might like? You list 11 places that you've been to; it would have been helpful if you'd noted what you did there and whether you enjoyed it. This would be extremely helpful to those who might be inclined to help.

When are you going? Winter? Spring? Summer?

Who's going? Just yourself? Spouse? Friend (non-romantic)?

A few extra minutes spent typing go a long way.....

Yeah, definitely go to "Amish." But don't forget when back in NYC to go to "Puerto-Rican," "African-American," and "Jewish." I've heard those are all interesting destinations.
