Ok, I'm a silver powerseller with over 6400 feedback. My DSR's are as follows: 4.8, 4.8, 4.9, 4.7 100% positive feedback with no policy violations. Recently, I was listing some designer jackets and was hit with this message "Thank you for choosing eBay. In order to help maintain a safe trading environment, selling limits are occasionally placed on listings. At this time, you are limited in the number of certain items you may list and/or revise in a 30 day period. Sellers who have built a long-standing and consistent positive history of selling such items may be eligible to have these limits raised. If you believe that you would qualify and would like eBay to review your limits, please email us at Customer Support. We sincerely value you as a member of our trading Community and look forward to a continued successful relationship with you. Click here for a window with more information on eBay’s listing guidelines." I emailed customer support and after 7 days was finally told that my limits could not be raised and that I should email them back in 90 DAYS!!. I could not figure out what was going on since I have, previous to this month, sold well over 200 of these same jackets on eBay. I do not sell fakes or "knock offs". After a quick google search, I found that this has been happening since the first of the month and that there is a running list of items that they are placing limits on. Editing your item also counts against "the magic number". If you reach your magic number and your item does not sell, you can forget about reslisting. Just a heads up to anyone that sells designer merchandise. I ripped this from one of the eBay forums "Another member has this list on their Me Page. Since it appears that even more brands are triggering the restrictions, feel free to add missing brands that you've been restricted in selling. Posts on various Boards the last two days indicates that even using a term relative to the listing but that could also be a brand is triggering restrictions - i.e., a toy train seller has been restricted based on his listing for "Miniature Pullman Coach Car" or something like that - we think it might have been "coach" in the listing since the brand of the toy train wasn't one on the list. But, with eBay, who knows?
Hope this helps someone Incredibledls |
