I would say that you were covered.

If you sold an item to "John Doe" and his wife "Jane Doe" signed for it at the home then I am sure that qualify. I would even guess that if you delivered the item to an apartment building with a security person at the front desk who signs for all the packages would qualify also. It is probably the same as delivering an item to a business and the mail room accepts all the packages with one signature.

I would not worry about it myself.

I don't think Signature Confirmation guarantees the addressee will sign for it, it just guarantees that somebody at that address will acknowledge the shipment has been received.

This was confirmed to me by my PP account rep a couple years ago. It could be the Mexican lawn man who signs for it.

Why I asked was because I got a email from her out of the blue that said as soon as I get them I will let you know. this email was sent at 4.30 pm yesterday, while the signature confirmation shows they were signed for at 11.30 am yesterday by someone other than her. a male in fact.this account was comfirmed paypal but there was no activty buying or selling on it for 3 years(2005).

Maybe you should file a claim for the missing package now? Or at least call the shipping company who may be able to somehow contact the driver before he forgets any details of the transaction.

It makes complete sense. The lawn man took it. Buyer never got it.
