I had a camcorder listed that sold last night. The payment is in my paypal account and is on hold. I already sent a harshly worded e-mail to paypal, and will be contacting the BBB and attorney general's ofices. Cancel the order, refund the buyer his money. |

Good luck trying to get the buyer to agree with Mutual withdraw and get some of your listing fees back. eGay wins either way. |

Days of 100% positive feedback rating are over for sellers since buyers can get away with anything these days due to new eBay policies. You can't even give negative feedback to a buyer now if they try to blackmail you into returning an item after using it. Few months ago, this person bought a brand new factory sealed printer from me and after one month he sends me an email asking for the item be returned as the item was "used". I refused and received negative feedback. I don't care about negative feedback as I don't plan to sell anymore on eBay which has become a place for scammers and is the beginning of the end of eBay as we know it. |

It seems the International Buyers are getting wise to what they can get away with, and are lining up in droves to buy things and wait and file an INR, knowing that you the seller can't prove delivery on an International Package (unless you ship via Express and no Buyer wants to pay those large fees and if they do you will get dinged in your DSR's). So it is a NO-WIN scenario. Because of this, I have recently stopped offering International on my items. Such a shame that it has come to this, but it is just TOO RISKY. I am fighting a claim now to a Canadian Buyer for a $130 Rouble coin, and I know I will lose. And interestingly the Buyer was quoting all the requirements, they knew ahead of time what they could get away with. It used to be so fun to sell online, and now eBay/PayPal has made it so risky and so not fun. |

"SPP coverage requires: -Ship to transaction details page address. -Must be marked eligible or partially eligible on transaction details. Eligible means coverage for INR and unauthorized. Partially eligible means coverage for INR only. -eBay items will be eligible; non-eBay items eligible if a confirmed address, or partially eligible if unconfirmed. -must be physical, tangible, shippable good. -Your (the seller's) primary address must be in the U.S." Okay, let me get this right. When I sold non-eBay items, I normally would see eligible or not eligible for SPP on the Transaction Page. However, when I sold eBay items, I don't see eligible or not eligible on Transaction Page. The only thing I can see is the confirmed address on the Shipping Page. So, do we assume that ALL eBay items are covered under SPP as long they are physical, tangible, shippable and my address is in the US? |

I have similar situation as the previous post. Mine is for an eBay item. The transaction detail page looks different than what I used to receive. -First top quarter has a check mark with "it's ok to ship" and the shipping address. -There is no mention of eligibility or partial eligibility anywhere in the page. -There's no mention of 'confirmed address' under the shipping address or anywhere in the page. -The buyer's paypal account is non-us, verified. Like the previous poster, when I clicked on the 'print shipping label' link on the bottom of the transaction detail page (TDP), the subsequent page, shipping label page, listed 'confirmed address'. Is this a new transaction detail page? Why the TDP had no mention if address is confirmed or not, but shipping label page indicated that it is confirmed? The bottom line is: am I eligible under SPP? It's an eBay item, but I don't see 'unauthorized payment link' under my payment preferrence profile--so I don't have expanded SPP, right? Buyer has 20 feebacks at 100%. Paypal has not replied to my inquiry. I'll update when they do. But, please add some input if you encountered similar situation. |

i also see lots of mentions in the legalese about only valid for spp if "eligible" is shown on the details page, but it appears that no transactions are listed as eligible... can someone please clarify? |

Anyone? as of my last transaction, the only way i can confirm eligibility was to contact paypal and try to find someone that doesn't just send a canned response. i'm beginning to wonder if paypal has something up its sleeve. |

I don't know about this hold. The only time i get a hold on my money is when i buy from a retailer. When i sell on eBay i get my money right away without any hold. Like i said last month i bought something from WalMart.com and they held the payment then released it then sent it out. I've never (knock on wood) when receving money had to wait on it. The only time i have heard of that is when it is a scam. People send out fake paypal email saying to ship the item you are selling and then they will release the funds but guess what you ship and provide a tracking number and you never get the funds. This is really big on CL. When i get those email i just delete them because if you check your paypal account you will see that their is no hold |
