ROFL.. I sent a coworker the link and a UPS ad was on top of the article when he opened it.

Between UPS, FedEx, USPS and DHL, I feel DHL has the worst service. More than once I've expected packages from DHL, with no evidence they've attempted delivery to my home. I've had to call them with their reply always being "the package is at our Van Nuys facility," where each time I've had to drive there to pick it up.

One time I even talked to a DHL manager there and asked him, "are you still a package delivery company?" He said "yes" and asked why am I asking. I replied that I wasn't sure, since they never seem to deliver packages.

If they were more reliable, then maybe this shut-down of domestic delivery services wouldn't be happening.

I have to agree that DHL driver's are a pittance compared to all the rest out there. Yet I'll bet you none of their million dollar consultant studies ever brought it up to top management. Another entity that deserves to die.

I don't have a problem with DHL. UPS I curse on them!

I've never liked DHL, but two christmases ago, I had something shipped to my mom, and used MY zip code on her address. When I saw the package had gone through my small town, I called DHL. They were able to quickly locate the packagage and fix the zip code on it. I was impressed. I love UPS the best, Fedex is last. Probably because the dumbass driver one delivered a package to my husband at work instead of me at home because my package was the only one in our neighborhood that afternoon. Oh, and last summer, he told my husband he had just delivered a big box of brownies to me. WTF?

When it becomes available, DHL could be used to mean "Dear Husband - Loser."

Will there be more layoffs down the road for UPS or FedEx with the major downturn in the economy?

scsiguru said:Will there be more layoffs down the road for UPS or FedEx with the major downturn in the economy?I doubt it. With DHL going down, UPS and Fedex will be fighting to get the former DHL customers.

ETA: Ofcourse there's less packages this year.. but that's got to be expected.

Nice, thanks for the tip.

The only time I see DHL being used on packages I order is as a "bridge" through the USPS. They just deliver to my local post office and the mailman takes care of it there.

I wonder if I can scoop up a bright-yellow Dodge Sprinter cheap now?
