Motorola Droid vehicle mount

Please let me know how you like it when you receive it.. I am debating if I should get it.

Picked up my accessories at my local store. Display Protectors, Body Glove Rubber Snap On Cover with Belt Clip, and the multimedia station (not listed on verizon's web store, but you can see it on the droid page when you click on the Droid is here (home page). cost the same as Motorola Droid vehicle mount.

anyway, the associate at the store offer me 25% corporate discount for all these, and I asked if he can give me 30% off. He ended up give it to me.

Accessories has very high mark up, if you talk to them nicely. I don't see why they won't give you a good discount.

For those that don't know yet, the different modes in the Droid that are triggered by placing it in the different docks/accessories are triggered by magnets. It wouldn't be very difficult to make DIY solutions instead of paying for expensive accessories.

I don't know about that. Engadget made a makeshift solution using cardboard and a few magnets without much trouble. I'm sure there will be cheap 3rd party solutions soon. That being said I was impatient and ordered one of each of the docks from Verizon.

vzw.com didn't have the home dock when i looked last and most store are sold out. i'm hoping for a 3rd party version soon!

shouldn't be too long til we see a third party car dock for the dash (window mount illegal in california) that has charging capability.

The one they (motorola) sell right now ought to be priced $5 for that piece of plastic, magnet, and suction cup

Thanks for the info. Saw the video from Engadget. Going to try, to recycle my broken FM ipod dock; playing around with the magnet position, see if I can make it work.

don't like the windshield mount. Does anyone know motorola's vehicle mount come with alternative vent clip?
