I went to get a flashlight on Home Depot tonight and found this Husky 3W LED cree tactical discounted for $15.30 from $21.97 on the shelf. I picked one and left one there. Takes 3 AAA batteries, very well aluminum build and rated 145 Lumens. SKU 039953519031 Thought I'd share this here if someone is looking for a good well build flashlight right now. Cannot find anything online but I'd be glad to link pictures and store receipt upon request.

I have this flashlight and took it fishihing once and now it stays lit sometimes when it feels like it. I would not buy it again. Though when it is working it is very bright.

I believe this is the same one I bought a couple months ago. Good thing about it is the relatively small size but still is quite heavy. Too small for a truncheon. Friends asked me to pick up two for them and one did have a faulty switch right out of the package. It wouldn't stay on...I'd suggest opening and testing before leaving the store.
I have this flashlight and yes its a bit heavy. Nevertheless its solid and at 145 Lumens it is BRIGHT! I use it quite a bit and its handy to throw in your backpack.
just out of curiosity, what makes it a tactical flashlight?
Gun mountable & ON/OFF switch at the rear/bottom.
Tactical just means that it's switch can be used by softly touching it for instant on/off for sending morse code without having to actually click the switch for constant on. Some of the made in china switches inadvertantly have reverse tactical which means when the switch is in the on position a light touch will turn the light off momentarily for the same tactical result.
Update, I went to my local and they had both the Husky 3watt and a Brinkman 3watt. They were the same flashlight just stamped brinkman where the husky usually is. They were down to $17. I grabbed 1 brinkman branded that had a nice centered emitter. The switch makes a tinny crap clicking sound but works fine anyway.
If you are in the market for a powerful, pocket sized flashlight that is well built, very bright, and economical to run (single AA instead of three AAA), I recommend this one:
My experience with the Husky line of LED flashlights has been iffy. In particular, the switches are not very durable. OTH, the Romisen linked above, has been excellent. It comes from Hong Kong (free shipping via air mail), but I've ordered a couple of times from DealExtreme, and they have been reliable.
