I called Wachovia again to try and obtain a credit line for my approval...(I called 2 days earlier and was told it was approved). I was transferred this time to the credit department (direct line = 866-900-0662). Credit rep said denied: TOO MANY RECENT TRADELINES OPENED IN 2007. I told her they were all over 12 months old now (13 ) but that didn't seem to make a difference. I asked whether an application for a business credit card wouldyield the same results and she only offered me their number to apply... She also said the only bureau they use is EQ (so plan your AORs accordingly) |

FROM OP:Barclays advised me that a closed Bank Atlantic card with a balance still owing would report to my personal credit report.Do you carry a balance? Is your card closed? Are you late? Are you OCL? Are you late on any other Barclays lines? Are you the only user of the card or are there other authorized users? |

Answering machine picked up and "Alicia" asked me to leave my number and she will call me back

And next time you're talking to them, see if you can ask, theoretically, about reallocating from a barclay's biz card to another barclay's biz card.During my most recent call they said she can't move line from a closed biz card to an open biz card.... YMMV but I hope Squeezer tries it |

Do have balance. and yes they closed my card like 5 months ago. Since my 0% term not finish yet, I still pay minimum payment. Just surprises to see it all in a sudden. Another thing I wonder if that triggers. I do try to apply this card again last week, even my balance on the old one is not payoff yet since there are 2 months to go. And since they have closed my old one, so officially I don't have any BankAtlantic card. I took a shot and see if they will give me another. |

Thanks jack for that data point.

Ok, I got one of my 1st new CC in the mail today from my min AOR. It's a Bank of America AMEX w/ $14K CL (World points = yuk). 0% APY BT until Sept 2009. The problem is there's a 3% BT fee on it with no cap If I BT $12k, that's $360 I believe one of the best rates we can currently get is from WAMU since they just came out with a 5% CD for 12 months. Some banks will possibly match them such as IndyMac and FlagStar. Any advice on what you guys are doing for the Credit Cards that offer 0% APY but have a 3% BT fee with no cap? Are you just not taking advantage of the BT they offer? I also applied for some cards that max the BT Fee at $75 to $99. As always, thanks for any advice Cheers |

My existing BOA Plat Plus M/C had a 24,100 credit line. I called this morning and asked them to resume application processing as I had lifted the freeze from my report temporarily. After 2 transfers, I reached a secured card underwriting area (by mistake, IMO). The person was very helpful and after being on hold with her for 9 minutes, she said, "I don't have access to that information and am waiting for a supervisor review. I'll call you back ASAP so you don't have to hold any longer than you already have. I'll let you know the outcome." (60 minutes later) Rep called me and said application is beng forwarded for processing/underwriting. (120 minutes later) I received an email stating my application has been processed. I called and discovered that I was approved for $15,000 - They took $14,100 from my existing line in order to approve this new card. I asked for and received $9,000 reallocation from my old Plat Plus M/C to the new Plat Plus M/C (NOTE: rep said it was a different card (Hills Pat something or other)... perhaps it might have been the Pet Rewards card ). Total new FREE BT available = $24,000!!! |

Bummer that you didn't get much net new credit limit, but at least you have the no-fee card to work with (that plus direct deposit BT capability will help if you need to launder another BT or two) |

This showed on EQ around last weekend, which is about when yours showed. It says closed upon creditor's request showing only .5k limit. It's really worrying me as I am preparing for biz AOR. Is yours current and maybe w/ balance? |

I did my USBank BT on the online application (it offered it after telling me my credit limit, so I knew how much to do) to my FNBODirect savings account. If I had to call and talk to a CSR I would just say I plan to put the money in a savings account for a year. Edit: seems that [ bullet ] and [ li ] don't work inside quote tags. |

Jack, what phone # did you go with for the Citi reall? And I thought I heard a rumor of someone doing a personal->biz reall - that's surely too good to be true? Good job on the personal reall though. |

The USBank rep was very clear that I could not BT straight to a checking or savings account. I said that I had a line of credit account to payoff: - ING Direct, fsb
- po box 60
- St Cloud, MN 55555
Rep said that was fine so long as there was a balance on that LOC account. As for Citi consolidation, I called the standard 800-950-5114 number... regular rep and everything but like I said, it was her first virgin consolidation journey...

Rep said that was fine so long as there was a balance on that LOC account. Well, I don't know what to say - I never spoke to a rep, but following others' advice about USBank BTing to any account, I gave them the deposit address and account number of my FNBO savings, and I have $10k of USBank's money in my account now. |

I was testing to see if they will issue me another one since I am offcially not having a card with them, but I have not pay off the old card yet. It has been over two weeks and so far I receive nothing from them regards to my new application. |
