This is really fascinating stuff. Like I said before, Win333 is a trailblazer. I've been trying to push the envelope for so long, owing much of that success to information discovered by Win333, that the only thing that really interests me much anymore is the uncharted territory. Freeze Experian, forever locked at zero inquiries...check (I'm still mystified that Win333 was one of the few people who ever thought to test this simple, yet genius tactic on an AOR as a workaround to no bumpage). TU bumpage like an old shoe...check. But, EQ is sometimes fickle. If you can figure out the most efficient work around, it unlocks many possibilities. Like applying for credit wearing a bulletproof vest. Keep us posted. |

Wow, thanks for the thread Win. It's tough reading (as you mentioned), but I'm just an A0R noob. I have 11 inquiries on my EQ - 1 for an AM3X for work (agh!), 3 for mortgages, 1 for AT&T Wireless (agh again!), 3 from Citi (A0R), and 3 from Chase (A0R). I want to A0R again in 11 months. Looks like I'll have to get to work on b*! |

I'm guessing AR means account review and PRM means promotional offer. I have no idea about ND, but then, I might be on crack. |

AR (Account Review) - stay on your report for 12 months, AR do not stack up, they update with the most recent date. PRM (Promotional) - these DO stack up, stay on the report for 12 months. I have had C* and these do NOT chop 1 per month like the daily pulls. DTC (Direct to Consumer) - A type of identity verification, may fall off rather quickly on their own within a few months. ND - I believe this means not disclosed, as in not shown to others pulling your credit, which is true of all softs. They remain 24 months. |

Hey win333, Might help the thread if you list your services. I have one to add to the pile. Like a true smarty I tied my PM123 to a one-time CC - and like an idiot I let the cancel window pass without updating it. Auto-cancelled my membership and I cannot sign up for another 6 months. However, a sister service is Credit Diagnosis (I got this from a PM123 rep on the phone), at www.creditdiagnosis.com. Same pricing and trial terms. Might be useful to add to your stable. |

Do you know anything about it? It's another TrueCredit resell, just like PM123 and NCIP. Should be good for b* on both TU and EQ. |

Keep us posted. Thanks for the thoughts, In Nov. Experian began letting everyone freeze their credit report. So I think thats why it has only been talked about for 6 months now. I wasn't the 1st to talk about freezing, BUT I have a bigger mouth than anyone else Well no B* yesterday, even my TU has STUCKAGE! Thats a 1st for me, Most times I can B* TU in 10 days or less. It has been 12 days since my last TU INQ, but I have 7 softs a day now on my TU. So we'll see. |

Word of warning with Credit Diagnosis - I got auto-signed-up for a paid service called "Your Savings Club" as part of it. I don't recall seeing an opt-in or opt-out during the signup process. Cancelled via the website immediately but I found a lot of complaints about this on Google. Confirmed my membership cancellation via phone. Don't know if I'm going to have to dispute a charge to my CC yet. YMMV. Might want to pull it out of the QS. |

STILL trying to bump an EQ hard from mid-December. Daily pulls since then mean that I should have ~130 softs behind it. WTF. |

AMEX Credit Secure and myFICO. Also CreditKarma, but I think that pulls only TU. |

I read CreditKarma is TU only. I assume you're not pulling myFICO every day - that would be spendy - anyway you probably need at least 2 daily pullers to knock out EQ if they are chopping softs once a month. |

win, could you please give a definition of choppage in your OP? I did a search on this but couldn't find a difinitive answer...it seems allot of peps know what this is, but I don't...is it when your inq's get but back on your report after having been B*? Or is it when your report get removed of the soft inq's thereby allowing your hard inq's to surface again? I was a little lost on your op since I didn't know what choppage meant, and having a def. might help newbe others follow...just a suggestion...thanks. |

win333, my softs from Equifax Gold as of 5/1/08 are below, as well as their key for what the various abbreviations mean. Not sure if any of it will help. I think I count 108 softs right now and am hoping to B* before the next round of choppage, but I've only got two daily EQ pullers. Maybe I'll file some more disputes . PM me with questions. Am I not explaining this right? I thought every FWFer would jump on this in a second and be as excited as I am. My take on it is that you're not explaining very clearly what your trying to say. I'm smarter than the average bear and I had to reread your OP and this thread about three times before I figured out what you're saying. My overall A0R strategy has been to do massive applications every 12 months or so; as long as I get bumpage of each A0R's inquiries before the next round then I don't care whether it takes 6 days or 11 months. If I change to doing A0Rs more frequently I will need to consider using your strategy here. I know you tend to do A0Rs more frequently so I can see how what you're talking about here is helpful to you. Also, if EQ continues to do this choppage business (and I suspect they will), then either people will start using your strategy or they'll buy more bumpage services. Props to you, though, for blazing trails. Few around here do any more. 2Cor521 |
