shan11 said:CLUE: search for his/her postI don't want to awaken a sleeping tiger. Has anyone had the following odd "Available Credit" experience happen before? My cash returns credit line is 32000. I have purchase totaling 90,000 (all transactions have posted to the card). I have paid a total of 120000 (90000 directly from Citi checking account and 30000 from external ING account). In spite of my purchases posting, my available credit online shows 120000 ! Has anyone else observed this strange phenomenon? Will the available credit eventually decrease? |

I've observed something similar when making (multiple, large) mid-cycle payments. It took a while (~ month) for the "available CL" to come back to normal. I did not try to tap into CL beyond *available according to my own calculations*. |

I followed this thread as it developed and never learned an important fact about these fixed point redemption tickets: You have to still have the account for which you received them. My daughter and her husband each got 40000 TYP and then immediately closed their accounts. When they went to get the tickets, they were told that they were not eligible for 20000 TYP per round trip because they were no longer account holders. I don't know if having a linked credit card would have saved them. They are debating reopening, but aren't sure it will help. |

You need to have an account that makes you eligible for fixed-point redemption. The list is here on Thankyou site. So if they reopen they should be ok I'd think. Linky to Thankyou

Am I the only one who still hasn't received their TYPs? Opened the account in mid May and funded it by the end of that month. |

Linky to Thankyou Thanks, Lord Ecount. They just had to link to their Expedia account. Incidentally, one of them got 40000 extra TYP. After two attempts with CSRs with limited English proficiency, they decided to give up and keep the extra TYP. Not all errors are against us, and I draw the line at making the correction of a favorable error my life's work. |

Hey, I got extra 40k TYP as well...I just kept my mouth shut and will enjoy taking the family on a vacation somewhere domestic on Citi's dime |
