Got 14K for myself and 20K for wife. Now I'm a little worried. Maybe I should resist the temptation.

If that's the best they can come up with, it looks like a pretty good card to me.

Thank you so much OP

I have a quick question - just wondering if anyone knows if it will be possible to get the no fee check option after receiving the card? I didn't check the box to receive a balance transfer in the form of a check, but now I am thinking maybe it would be a good idea to get some cash at 0% from the card and put it in a 6 month cd...

Thanks!

I have a great card for purchases already but have been itching to try the AOR (in theory) to invest if I can find a few good 12 month 0% BT offers. I am never sure if they allow you to take cash out. Isn't this considered a cash advance at a high interest rate? How do you know if they provide courtesy checks?

Thanks for any info!

With CITI you can request a check and depost it in your checking/MM account and use the money for whatever you want.

Or do a ACH to your checking/MM

Sorry to all offended But at the bottom of the application it has a box like this.

Get more from your card (optional)†
Learn how to make it work for you–Just check a box(es) and choose Continue below. You can select a due date option, register for FREE online services and more.
A Check for You: Request a Balance Transfer in the form of a check made payable to you, and use it any way you want-pay a few bills, even treat yourself to a weekend getaway. Terms & Conditions (below)
Your welcome kit and card(s) will arrive within 2 weeks at the address you provided. Upon arrival, please follow the instructions on the security sticker to confirm receipt and activate your card for immediate use.

Terms & Conditions:
• You must not default under any Card Agreement(s).
• There is no balance transaction fee with this offer.
• You may transfer any amount, including any balance transfer transaction fees that may be assessed, up to 95.0% of your credit line, as long as it does not exceed your available credit line.
• You cannot transfer balances from other accounts issued by Citibank (South Dakota), N.A. or its affiliates.
• Be sure you do not transfer the amount of any disputed purchase or other charge, because you may lose your dispute rights.
• Transferred balance amounts do not earn any miles, rebates, points or reward benefits associated with your card, unless otherwise indicated.
• Valid only for U.S. based cardmembers and creditors.
• Finance charges will be assessed on balance transfers from the date the transaction is posted to your account. Your payments and credits will be allocated to pay off low APR balances before paying off higher APR balances. That means your savings will be reduced by making transactions that are subject to higher APRs.

If I should use this check to me and deposit it into a decent interest account pay on time there is no fees for 12 months?

Thank you all for me and others who will read this post in the future.

i did it, but no option. it specifically said the address you provided on the application is where a check will be sent.

I wanted to know about reallocation of Citi credit lines, so called Citi, and they said I needed to call Associated Bank. So, called the main # for Assocated Bank Customer Service spoke with two different reps, both said that reallocation was NOT possible b/c this is a co-branded card. (Each rep placed me on hold to check with their "credit card" department.) Hope this helps.

I decided to jump into the water and applied for the card online.

After submitting the application, it didn't give me an instant approval or rejection other than saying that I will get a response via US Mail. No reference or confirmation # either. So I ended up calling Associated Bank's customer service to check on the application status. The CSR that I spoke to noted that I was missing an information on the application (the question on whether where I rent or own; what's odd is this question isn't on the application form to start with) and once I gave her that information, she said the application is now processing. I also got a reference # from the CSR.

I'm curious as to what determines an instant vs. non-instant decision? I didn't use the shortcut application (for existing Citi card holders even though I already have a Citi card), by the way.

I bit the bullet and was approved. Scores all over 750 and HHI of 150k. Received a line of 15k. I'm a little disappointed with the low amount of the credit line, but I'm sure I can send in docs later and get it raised, after 6 months or whatever. Thanks for the link.

Did you use the shortcut form (for existing Citi card holders) or the regular app?

Just a data point, 150K HHI, 740-750 scores used the regular app - $25k

I have no Citi cards now (used to have an AT&T Universal card 6-7 years ago, think that was Citi)

How about reallocation between Associated Bank cards?
