Mark - I had the same idea except much more aggressive. My limited skills won't permit me to link to the message on page 6 of this thread where I postulate creating a $190K chase line with all of my existing chase cards (biz & personal). The wrench thrown in the works is that when I tried to consolidate just the five biz cards from this round, a helpful credit CSR indicated that any consolidation over three cards would trigger management review. So I did three CLR on the Chevy Chase biz card and two CLR on the Chase biz card and called it a day. Also, I think it makes sense to keep the Sony Chase on my personal since I'm rebuilding credit there from my last CLR personal to biz grab. Finally, would it have been wise/feasible to consolidate separate entity Chase biz cards? BTW, I have the same, albeit slightly smaller, opportunity with Citi. Citibiz ($8k), Citi Upromise ($15k), Citi Pro ($20k), Associated Bank ($25k), Citibiz2 ($36k). |

Can separate entity biz cards be reallocated or consolidated? I've not tried. |

Jevon - they are the same card albeit for separate business entities: an S-corp and and a sole proprietorship. Hope that helps. I wonder if anyone has attempted to consolidate separate entity cards before? I haven't. |

Glitch, I too suspected that was the case when the analyst first mentioned it. However, he followed up by saying that it didn't matter if I called back or called a different number (I had some direct credit department number), so I was under the impression he had annotated my account. I'm probably just being paranoid and I'll try to CLR them before I do the next big Chase A0R. Good news - got the deferred decision Baylor card in the mail today - $31,000!! Thank you lhendricks. I'll be applying for the other USbank/Elan cards shortly. |

Venturion, Now that your very successful AOR is winding down, Can you give us the list of exactly which banks you were able to get both sole prop cards and cards for your S-corp because the banks treated them as separate entities? I think that would be helpful to those of us have a LLC or Corp, so we can maximize our credit potential. |

I'm traveling for a few days, so please give me until next weekend. I'll also update the QS. Looks like 19 out of 31 acceptances with some duplicate rejections (too many Juniper/Barclays, Chase, and BofA simultaneous apps). Hard rejections only amounted to FNBO and Pulaski, I believe. As for cards where separate entities were approved, I believe Chase Rebate, CitiBiz, and BofA Power Rewards definitely permitted multiple identical cards. I'm not sure what happens with Amazon.com, GM, and Chevy Chase since I CLR and closed them for my Sole-P last time before getting approved for them with the S-corp this time. As soon as the profiles are clear again, I'm happy to reapply for them under the Sole-P to see what happens. |

Now that we are starting to understand multiple entities a bit, that raises another question. What is the proper time period to allow for a "wash, rinse and repeat" with a different entity than the one just AOR'd? Some banks make you wait 2 months to reapply, some 6 months, ect. But what about if you use another entity? Do the same rules apply? Does anyone have any experience with this? |

Crap1 only takes 1 app each 45 days, so they didn't process my app for my LLC. I'm getting ready to try again, but i'll freeze 2 reports when I apply. I'm not letting them hit all 3 reports. |

Thanks for the update - amazing. Questions: 1) I'm assuming your business utilization numbers include the sole prop? 2) Perhaps I missed this - why only 1 Citi Biz app, 0 BofA biz, yet 7 Chase biz apps? Did you have reason to believe Citi and BofA wouldn't treat your S-corp as a separate credit entity from your sole prop? 3) Could you summarize where you think you've benefited from having 2 businesses? Seems pretty clear it has helped with Chase...and possibly CapOne? |

lhendricks: 1. Yes, total business utilization includes Sole-P (~9 cards) and S-Corp. 2. I applied for the BofA business card for the S-corp first and got it ($8.5K CL). I did so because my employees actually use the card as limited AUs. As for Citi, when I applied last A0R, I recall being told that I could only apply for one Citi business card at a time. Faulty information? 3. Issuers that permit multi-entity duplicate business cards (though may still underwrite them to total exposure): CHASE and all of many of its co-branded or sponsored cards!! Capital One - got $20K for both entities CitiBusiness - $20K for Sole-P and $8K for S-Corp BofA - $20K for Sole-P and $8.5K for S-corp USBank/Elan (confirmed by Win) The following issuers don't seem conducive to multi-entity duplicate business cards: Advanta Bank Atlantic Further testing is required for: FNBO Pulaski Fifth Third National City AMEX Discover |
