I remember looking at a 39 unit at Home Depot that higher cfm rating and better energy efficiency and also higher blade pitch. Thanks for sharing the deal but I bought and returned this unit when I found regular priced unites at Home Depot that are more efficient and move more air. Which model did you buy from Home Depot? |

Hey all, thanks for the scoop! I was needing a ceiling fan anyway and was hoping for one with a remote...even if I had to add one. I was actually at Lowe's last Sunday and found no decent deals. I think this fan may have been a special purchase for this weekend as I do not recall seeing it last weekend. I bought a bottle of water to get the $10 coupon so this one ended up being $49 including a remote (with is normally an extra $25), so a great deal. I agree with the previous poster about the white fans looking somewhat cheap, but I picked up a "brushed nickel" model and it looks much better. I'm not a "fan connoisseur" by any means, but it works fine and installed easily. The 3 candelabra bulbs are actually brighter than I expected and dim easily using the remote. |

didn't see it mentioned here, but in addition to the Gatorade $10 off $50 coupon, my Lowes is selling 5 packs of CFL bulbs for $9.97, and that includes a $10 off $50 coupon. Checkout clerks were telling people with over $50 purchase to grab the light bulbs, and take the coupon out to use on that transaction, instead of next transaction. lately, all my purchases have been right around $50 (figured wrong, had to add a $1.37 bottle of pepsi on one), cuz the $10 off $50 is better than the 10% movers coupon. |

We bought ours before the sale, went back yesterday for an adjustment on the price, and they were completely sold out of the silver nickel ones and only had a few white ones left. When we bought ours there were two huge pallets full! So they are indeed going fast. |

One note, if you have low ceilings, these fans are not for you. You HAVE to use the drop rod, which would potentially make it too low in certain situations. The fan is not made to flush mount installations. |

Installed 2 in the house, beautiful fans! (natural oak) you can use pulley chain and remote; gotta have the chains ON before remote and highest for fan otherwise remote will mess up the LOW/MED settings. |

The only ones they had on display--and in stock for that matter were the all white ones--which I always think look cheap. Maybe if they'd had some with dark wood grain left I'd have felt differently. really? the brushed nickel with cherry/black was on display at mine and looked pretty nice for $60 with a remote. why they call it cherry doesn't make any sense to me since it doesn't look cherry at all. i could have gotten another model for $5 less that was originally over $100 but elected for this one because of the remote and the ability to use standard bulbs |

Thanks OP. I don't think it looks cheap at all (I bought the nickel one). When you are installing it, the metal seems a little thin, but looks fine. And while I appreciate the easy install fan blades, something just doesn't seem right about them...they look and work fine, just seems kind cheezy. |

Depends on the holes, etc in the drop rod...I bought one a while back..just sawed the rod down to a nice length and drilled the holes in it...working like a charm and nice height |

The fan is not made to flush mount installations. The fan uses 17.5 inches of space from ceiling, and as the previous poster noted, no flush mount option. Cutting the drop rod isn't really an option for this particular fan, as there are screws to tighten in the canopy, which are difficult enough with the short drop rod, and would get particularly difficult with a shorter one. |

folks, i need help. i have two problems The fan wobbles at high speed. Runs fine at Med and low. I checked the mount, looks fine. You think the blades need balancing ? Also the lights dont work. The fan works fine both with pulley chain and the remote but light does not work at all. I checked the connections. Any suggestions ? thanks |

Noise level is about the same as the other fan I have in another bedroom (sorry dont have the actual DB levels measured). At medium and low, you would not notice a thing but a high, as you would expect to an extent, there is some wind noise. |

Darn I didn't realize these weren't flush mount. I bought one for my bedroom and one for the den. Both as replacements. The den will work since it's already a drop fan (tall ceiling), but not sure I'll keep the one in the bedroom or not since it's a regular height ceiling. Wouldn't that look stupid? Also I went to the store thinking I would get the brushed nickel one since I figured it would match my house better than the antique looking bronze, but the fan blades on the nickel one were only near-white looking on one side, and black on the other. So I ended up buying the bronze instead (with nice looking dark stained wood blades). |
